Bold braces shift text to the right

Visual Studio 2008 and older

With some fonts, Visual Studio renders bold braces such that text to the right shifts to the right. You can eliminate the shifting by changing editor font, by or telling Visual Assist to revert to an old, internal method of rendering bold braces. Change font in the options dialog for the IDE. Tell Visual Assist to use an old method of rendering bold braces with the following registry setting.

HKCU\Software\Whole Tomato\Visual Assist X\<IDE spec>\UseVsMarkers = 00

Default value is 01.
