Visual Studio 2003 and newer
By default, Visual Assist augments parameter information in tooltips with information not presented by the IDE. You can prevent Visual Assist from augmenting parameter information by setting the following registry key:
HKCU\Software\Whole Tomato\Visual Assist X\<IDE spec>\AugmentParamInfo = 00
Restore the default behavior, which is to augment what the IDE displays, by setting the value to 01.
Note: The registry setting for Visual Assist does not affect parameter information from the IDE. The latter information is controlled by the setting:
